Hong Kong International Airport to host Asia’s first “Super Hub Expo”

The Airport Authority Hong Kong announced on the 15th that Hong Kong International Airport will host Asia’s first “Super Hub Expo” from November 5 to 7, and supports its plan to continue to select Hong Kong as the venue for the event in the next few years.

According to reports, the “Super Hub Expo” is an exhibition that showcases innovative developments and will focus on the design, construction and operation of passenger and freight stations. The 2024 exhibition will be held at the Asia International Expo and is expected to attract more than 300 exhibitors and more than 6,000 domestic and overseas participants.

Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Airport Authority Hong Kong, Cheung Lee Ka-wai, said that Hong Kong International Airport becoming a partner of the expo is a testament to the Airport Authority’s efforts to bring this event and more events to Hong Kong. It is believed that the expo will not only bring new ideas and business opportunities to the aviation and transportation industries, promote Hong Kong’s overall economic development, but also help further enhance Hong Kong’s attractiveness in hosting large-scale international events.

McGold, the person in charge of the exhibition organizer, said that Hong Kong is a multimodal transportation hub with a strategic location, providing unparalleled convenience for entering and exiting the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and other regions, making it a “super hub expo” ideal city.
